Assignment 4 – Small Group Teaching
Small group teaching: Referring to your learning activity matrix (task 5, learning styles workbook, also added as appendix in the cover sheet), develop a tutor guide for a new teacher who will be involved in teaching using small group methods. The guide should include two small group sessions and use two different small group teaching styles e.g. buzz groups, role play and should reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of each method and advice to your new tutor on minimising potential problems. This assignment should be written in a friendly style with thought given to layout, use of tables, figures and appendices.
Assignment 5 – Large Group Teaching
Large group teaching: Develop a one-sheet peer evaluation sheet. Use this to evaluate a lecture (this may be public or private, face to face or online). Reflect on what you liked about the lecture, what you might change, and how you could include what you have learnt in your own teaching (600 words not including peer evaluation sheet).
