This assignment is designed to apply the knowledge you have gained thus far to a real-world situation and test your knowledge of the IS-LM model. This is an individual assignment; please do not work with others to prepare this assignment.
Instructions:
Find a newspaper article in a current issue of the Wall Street Journal, Globe & Mail, or Financial Post that discusses an economic event or problem which can be explained by the IS-LM model. Present the event/problem and analyze it using the IS-LM model.
Be sure to emphasize any open economy implications.
Length and Format:
Two pages: One page discussion of event/problem and one page analysis using IS-LM model.
