E-book on Tono-Bungay and H. G. Wells

The homework assignment for this week will help you practice finding scholarly articles and e-books that you will use for your final research paper. To begin the assignment, go to the online Library Course Guide for English. You can reach this website by going to http://library.ccis.edu/lit/ or by clicking the link to the website in the “Content” section of our course D2L site. Once you are at the English Course Guide, click the blue tab labeled, “Find Articles.” This will take you to a very helpful section of the guide that is all about finding scholarly articles. In the middle of the page for “Find Articles,” there is a listing of databases that are relevant to literary studies.

If you click the blue tab labeled, “Find Books,” you will be presented with a search box for searching the Columbia College catalog. Below the search box, click the link that says, “Search E-Books Only.” This will take you to a page where you can search the two major collections of e-books available through our library—ebrary Academic Complete and EBSCOhost eBook Collection. You can search using these search boxes or click the icon for either collection to go to their website and perform an advanced search.

For the homework assignment this week, I’d like you to find one article and one e-book about either Tono-Bungay or H. G. Wells’s body of work. Once you have found one article and one e-book that you think would be useful for Paper 3, write a short description of how you found each source (include such details as the keywords you used to search with, any filters you used, etc.) and why you chose the sources that you did. The homework assignment should be at least 500 words.

And I feel like to write under the article “”Tono-Bungay”: A Study of Suicide.”
