A summary and evaluation of the arguments found in the readings

Literature review: that is, a summary and evaluation of the arguments found in the readings. Attach files will uploaded. Review should have 4 elements.

1. CONTEXT. This means explaining what’s at stake, what’s already been said about the topic, and (if appropriate) what perspective you bring to the problem. Details

are OPTIONAL: if you don’t know enough to establish the context without doing additional research, leave this part out or limit yourself to a simple statement of the

topic.

2. SUMMARY of WORKS. There are two ways to do this.
A. Draw up a list of important points that all your authors address, and compare their positions on each point. This approach works best when your authors are making

different arguments about the same issue.

3. CRITICISM of WORKS. The nature of the criticism depends on the nature of the works. Grounds for criticism include consistency, originality, and presentation.

4. CONCLUSION. If you have concluding thoughts about the works, the broader issue, or both, put them here. If you have experiences that are relevant to the issue, put

them here too. If you are moved to praise or condemn the authors, or simply to share a reflection, this would be the place. If you have no concluding thoughts, say

nothing; this section is OPTIONAL.
