Develop an Essay Plan for the Major Essay. The Essay Plan should include interpretation of the essay topic and outline key themes, issues, arguments and the sources from where you will get your references. You do not have to include a full reference list that you will use in your Major Essay.

The Essay Plan is a necessary preparation for your Major Assignment (Assessment 3). All students are expected to submit an Essay Plan as a skills development for the Major Essay. The Essay Plan is not eligible for re-submission. Dot points,numbered points, dashes or any form of truncated sentencing is not permitted. Graphs of pictorial presentation are also not permitted.

The Essay Plan should be written in a essay format that is:-
An Introduction (what you are going to write about).
The body of the essay that includes your discussion topic
The conclusion that tells the reader what you have written about (sums up what you have said).

Do not use first person (I, me, w, us)

The Essay Plan should be written in 12 point Times New Roman or 10 point Ariel font and double line spaced.

The Essay Plan must include

1. Your interpretation of the topic.

2. The internal structure of your essay including key themes, issues, examples and arguments you propose to include in the paper

3. A list of resources (reference list) you will use to produce your essay including academic journals, academic texts and other pertinent publications. You do not have to include all of the references you will use in your Major Essay – just where you are going to access them from and the types of references you will use. Remember you must have a minimum of 6 academic references from journals and texts. On-line references should be in addition to this. The Harvard referencing system must be used.
