The Sexual Revolution: Hollywood in the 1960s Fall 2015
Analytical Papers
Length: 7-8 Pages (not including bibliography)
Assignment: Write a persuasive essay pertaining to any aspect of the sexual revolution in cinema that interests you. Your paper should include a clear thesis and an argument that demonstrates the validity of this thesis. The paper must incorporate references to at least five (5) outside sources, including any required course readings. Please note that a reference to a film does not constitute an outside source in itself.

Your paper should develop and discuss an original idea, topic or application.
Please include a final bibliography and use either the MLA or Chicago documentation style in your essay.
While you may certainly incorporate any of the films and media artifacts that we discuss in class, I ask that you not limit your paper to a discussion of these artifacts only.
The more focused your topic, the more interesting, organized, and effective your paper will be, so please give yourself time to reflect upon your own interests and to review literature that has been published on your project.

Please include the following films in this paper: The Graduate (1967) and Goodbye,Columbus (1969). These films do NOT count as a reference.
