Explain the foundation and evolution of the United States as a nation. (History Program Outcome #2) The project that you began in Module 5 is due at the end of Module 7. Be sure to place your document in the correct dropbox. Read one of the two following books: A Brilliant Solution: Inventing the American Constitution by Carol Berkin OR Decision in Philadelphia: The Constitutional Convention of 1787 by Christopher and James Lincoln Collier. Write an essay of about eight pages (2,000 words) in which you discuss the following: How the author(s) of either describe the Constitutional Convention and ratification of the Constitution The ways the books description of the process, goals, and results differs from what is described in The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution, 17631789 The uniqueness of the creation of the American political system. Your essay should be double-spaced and in 12-point font. Remember to cite your sources, including the textbooks. Be sure to submit your project in one Word document in APA or Chicago/Turabian format and place it in the appropriate assignment dropbox by the end of Module 7. Keep the following points in mind: The paper reflects the students original thought, focused on a central point or idea. The writing reflects an understanding of key concepts, and a high level of synthesis and critical thinking. The argument is coherent, and each point is well developed and balanced.
