(i) Introduction of the social enterprise and business models
Brief description of your selected social enterprise and highlighting characteristics that make the organisation a ‘social enterprise’ .You are also required to discuss the business model(s) i.e. how does the social enterprise make money? What are the income/commercial streams?
(ii) Identification and evaluation of selected entrepreneurship model(s),
Introduce, justify and evaluate selected entrepreneurship model(s) i.e. highlight disadvantages and advantages. However focus on why you think the entrepreneurship model(s) supports the position that you have taken in this assignment. Relevant literature is useful here.
Section 2: Discussion and analysis
(i)Discussions and analyses of business models of social enterprise supported by relevant models or frameworks, drawing on views and arguments of a range of authors.
Critically analyse the business model of your selected social enterprise and utilise your selected entrepreneurship model(s) to support your position. It will also be useful to identify other researchers views that resonate with your position for richer debate.
Section 3: Conclusion
Your recommendations must be well founded and should clearly relate to your analysis.
What does your discussion say about sustainability of social enterprises? What options do you think your selected social enterprise should take? Should it pursue a more blended model or otherwise?
