So on the summer course website it asked me to answer the following questions Please give a brief statement explaining why you want to study with us* (max. 100 words) This is what I wrote: I am currently a second year law student at Lancaster University, beside working at a law firm as an intern this summer, I wish to enhance my knowledge of law at Oxford. My past involvement in Model United Nations and first year law courses has allowed me to look more deeply into how international conflicts are connected to human rights. Through my studies in Criminal Law, Public Law, Tort Law, EU law, etc. I have gained a greater understanding of how historical, social, legal, and political factors work to create societies where human rights are either prioritized or ignored.I believe being involved at Oxford summer courses allow me to meet passionate people just like myself, and I hope to form relationships with different groups of people and find a close community of students and professors who care about the world like I do.
