Assignment of Position Papers: Each student will be required to submit two (2) Position Papers during the semester. The two position papers will focus on two different aspects of occupational hazard management. Your papers should be written within the required topics below. Position Paper #1 will be dedicated to a technical, standard or issue with safety management topic. See Course Syllabus and BB Assignments for details about this paper for potential topics. NOTE: DO NOT READ A LITERATURE ARTICLE or PAPER(S) AND SUMMARIZE. THE TEXT OF THE POSITION PAPER DOCUMENT MUST REFLECT YOUR OWN ORIGINAL IDEAS, CONCEPTS, AND THINKING ONLY! THIS ASSIGNMENT IS FOR YOUR CREATIVE AND CRITICAL THINKING TO DEVELOP A CONVINCING POSITION ON A SELECTED TOPIC OF YOUR CHOICE. Format of Paper: • Paper MUST be minimum of one and one-half pages in length and a minimum of 750 words for the text of the document. Two full pages are the preference in length with a maximum of three (3) pages in length. See Syllabus for Required Course Work for details. • Use single spaced typed pages with one (1) inch margin on all four sides. • Use 12 characters per inch or font size. No larger or smaller font sizes are acceptable. Font of Times New Roman or Arial is a good choice. • Add the word count for the document at the end of the text. REQUIREMENT • Add this statement at the end of each Position Paper to document ownership of content without extraction from another source.
