Research Paper Spring 2016 The research paper will focus on a historical subject of your choice, but the research must meet the time frame of this course. I understand that many of your courses require APA format. The format for this assignment and for this course will be your choice. Whatever format you feel comfortable using, MLA, APA, or Chicago. Make sure to follow the required recommendation for each format that is used. The research will be 10 pages, which will include a two-page introduction. It is required that 5 academic sources is used, at least two source needs to be a hardcopy. If you plan on using the APA format, please do not include an abstract. Your abstract will be incorporated into the two-page introduction paper. The textbook will not count as part of your source, you may use it, but it will not count as part of the five sources. Avoid using Encyclopedia, Wikipedia, or any other dictionary and/or the Bible. The sources mentioned will not be considered valid sources. Introduction Format: Your introduction should recognize Survival, Adaptation, Resistance, and Persistence. 1. First paragraph: The first paragraph will consist of a general introduction of your research topic and will end with a thesis statement. a. Thesis statement should include 3 or four major area of interest that you plan on researching. (No more than four) 2. Second Paragraph: Introduce your second topic of discussion, your first point in your thesis. (one or two sentences) a. Introduce your source(s) that will be used to explain your point. How will your source help you explain your thesis point? 3. Third Paragraph: Introduce your third topic of discussion, your first point in your thesis. (One or two sentences) a.
