In this project it is suggested to measure mitochondrial DNA damage as a marker of oxidative damage in hydrogen peroxide stressed fibroblast cells after incubation with anthocyanin compounds. Results from the in vitro study can be compared to samples from a previously performed human study (in vivo samples available for analysis) with anthocyanin supplementation.
