technology and dance: How does technology effect dance

Identify a lens through which to look at choreography through. A lens can be either a choreographic interest or topic in contemporary dance. Look at the weekly topics on the syllabus and the dance language handout for ideas. Choose something you are curious about.
• Choose two dance pieces we watched in lecture (or pieces that we did not watch in lecture but by choreographers we discussed in lecture). Examine and compare/contrast the dance pieces and the choices the choreographers of the pieces made in relation to your chosen interest/topic. I encourage you to draw diagrams and charts to look at how your chosen interest/topic is approach throughout the course of the piece.
• Find another piece by contemporary choreographer that was not discussed in class and examine that piece through your chosen lens.
• Based on your research, state the range of options for exploring topic or interest.
• Make a proposal for how you could explore your chosen interest/topic in your own choreographic work and/or discuss how you applied the interest/topic to your lab final.
