I do two survey , one for staffs that they work in food services in Qatar University , and the other for the students (just female student because the male students refuse do this survey )
the survey sample size will be for target sample , so I will need everyone deal with food or work as food handlers whom work in all the kitchens, cafeteria, restaurants, and cafe inside QU , as manager and staff ( chef , dishwasher, cutter, server) and the data will collect through questionnaires which will done by face to face interviews
IFS company ( 78 worker) which they work in different restaurant ( 7 cafeterias, Penne, ,Jannah, Tandoor, SFC, Fruit and flavor, Oriental Boul, coffee time, food smart, Mini , Mega Wrap, pizza 241, and orange) in food court it takes from 15/3/2014 to 20/3/2014
Sodexo company in business college (11 workers) takes one day 10/4/2014
the last three restaurants was coffee bean, subway, starbux ( 16 worker) takes one day 26/4/2014
For the student survey I used PDF 2 and 5 to make the survey.
I used this website to calculate the sample size https://www.surveysystem.com/sscalc.htm
by using margin of error = 5 , confidence = 95% , the population = 15000 ( last data at 2013/2014)
the result was 375 for all the male and female in QU
I try to find how many male and female but I couldn’t found , which I found it old result from 2002 they say ( 73% female, and 27% male and the number for all student was 8621 )
If I used these percentage for the 15000 student , then my sample size is 273 from female and 102 from male
but In end I do 300 female student only because no one from male student want to do the survey.It takes time from 23/4/2014 to 27/4/2014
