Dear Sir/Madam, Here is the brief story about me. I was a family physician back in Myanmar. I graduated from the medical school in Jan 2009. After that, I practiced as a family physician in my country before I came to the U.S. in Dec 2010. Since I got here, I took USMLE board exams Step 1, Step 2 CS, CK, and Step 3, and at the same time, I did volunteership, observership and externship at different clinics and hospitals in California and New York. After failed attempt to get in the residency programs for 4 times, I kind of gave up of trying to become a doctor here. I already passed all the USMLE board exams. All I need is 3 years of residency training and I will be a licensed doctor. Now, I am back to college. I went to Bakersfield College in Bakersfield and Chabot College in Hayward. I took prerequisite courses for physician assistant programs. Now I finished taking all of them and ready to apply for the PA programs. I am also working part-time as a caregiver/nursing aid. My only concern in the personal statement is the answer to the question why I choose PA over being a doctor. I will attach the personal statement and CV that I used to submit when I applied to residency programs.
