Challenge Reflection Report requirment
During the quarter, you will work with a group of your peers and will be presented with a
challenge. Yes, this is a group project, BUT it is not of the usual kind! For starters, your
evaluation in this class is NOT related to your performance as a group on the challenge (although
I think you will find that completing your challenge will be highly rewarding). Rather your grade
is directly related to your ability to reflect on the processes involved during the group project.
High quality individual reflection reports will include BOTH meaningful and frequent
applications of course material AND tangible insights based on such applications.

Background for writing the report
This is a challenge (group project)that we are being assigned in a Management class in Seattle University.
Here is the description for the challenge:
Challenge Option 2 – Support Albers Red Winged Leadership
Work directly with a current
MBA student at Seattle University as they work towards the Albers Red Winged Leadership
Challenge (to be explained in class). This task involve
marketing plans, or promotion to support the Red Winged Leadership Award (which honors
local Seattle leaders). 2 MBA students will attend our class to articulate the tasks needed and the
anticipated time commitment. This is a great opportunity to directly observe how other leaders
(the MBA students) do or do not engage in some of the key leadership concepts we discuss in
MGMT 380 and to reflect on how those actions impact your motivation and satisfaction levels.
I believe it will be a very enriching experience.
I am being assigned into the red winged promotion group.
Total number of group members:
Here’s what we did in the project
Our group discussed with the MBA student came up with an proposal
Visual aids: flyers, posters and cards (maybe website as well)
Class visits (A few minutes to promote it using our class time)
Event Sponsorship (Basketball games)
Personal Connection (word by mouth)
Promotion through email to all SU Undergraduates (at least Albers’)
SU Newspaper (Story of the 3 nominees) (about half-page long)
Also, our group attended to one MBA class and discuss the project with them.
But at the end our group only did give out Visual aids: flyers, posters and cards and Personal Connection (word by mouth)
