This is a Masters of Special Education coursework assignment.

• In reviewing the experience in working with this child, if the classroom was yours and you could create/provide an ideal program for this child, what might it look like?

The narrative clearly reflects understanding and importance of the IEP, its process, implementation and outcomes.

Well organized; addresses all elements effectively; professionally presented.
3.) Convention (grammatical & spelling accuracy):
Document is free of grammatical and spelling errors.

In order for you to successfully complete this assignment, I have already done the following for you:
1.) Selected a student
2.) Read and became familiar with this student’s IEP
3.) Written a 1-2 page description of this student and his characteristics. Included are things
related to his social, communicative, behavioral traits as well as academic.
4.) Shadowed the student; took notes on my direct observations. Became familiar with the student,
learning about his strengths and needs, interests and sources of motivation.
5.) A written 2 page paper considering the contents of the students IEP in planning my instruction for this student.
6.) 6. Created a MAPS document for this student. The MAP provided a meaningful way to enhance not only the IEP process, but also the overall plan for the student.
