Thesis statement :
Both women in hills of white elephants and the story of an hour devoted their lives for their companion as they felt the need to be taken care of.
Idea1: Men thought of their women as their inferiour because of their gender, therefore they need to be taken care of.
Idea 2: Mrs. Mallard seemed excited when she heard that her husband “Mr. Mallard” died because she never experienced freedom until he died.
Eg. Mrs. Mallard was depressed because of her husband, however, she didn’t leave him because she loved him and also she didn’t have the power to do so.
Idea 3: Jig is a woman who lacks the ability to make decisions without constant approval of her lover.
Idea 4: Jig has the need to consalt her companion because she proably thinks that she couldn’t raise the baby by her self.
Women tried to seek freedom but the were not able to get it. Their male companion influenced them both.
