Please see post from students and write brief responses. These will be discussion response to my peer’s posts what they learned this semester. Please number per response. 1. Alicia Spriggs HC466 was an overall good class but it also was a challenge for me. In taking this class one must be fully committed and focused on the material for the class in order to receive fair credit. With me taking other classes in addition to HC466 and working a full- time job, I struggled a lot with delivering to the professors’ expectations. After the first couple of weeks I was able to sort of get in the swing of things but I think that written expectations for assignments should have been explained slightly more informative for a better understanding. The course content was very interesting and the readings always had my attention and made me want to read more. It was the discussions that I felt required too much in order to receive the full credit. I admired the professors’ way of teaching which allowed students to thoroughly think and be able to elaborate on what they read. The design of the class was fairly easy and straight forward. I also feel as if the quizzes were very helpful in reviewing what the lesson was for the week. I feel that the knowledge attained from this class will be used in my future of managing a health facility. I enjoyed the class and would definitely recommend it to future students. It was a pleasure working with everyone this term and I wish everyone well on their education journeys. 2. Blake Ho This class intrigued me into taking for my Business management in healthcare degree. Learning about Community based healthcare organizations and how they are structured was interesting and helpful for my degree. CBHO’s are an integral part of the healthcare industry and getting the background information on how they are formed and interact with the healthcare facilities was great to learn about. Learning about the culture change and community health brought some insight into the healthcare society as a whole. Another wonderful educational experience was learning about Blooms Taxonomy and how this can actually help students but also professionals write better and understand what they are writing about. The course was great overall and I felt there where very few negatives about it. The quizzes seem to touch on what we are learning about for the weak and enjoyed the filling the blank portions instead the standard true and false questions. Discussion posts were wonderful to read and understand other student’s insights and ideas, plus it was a great feedback opportunity. The individual work in week three was a great way to see what is in our local area for healthcare facilities. Really enjoyed this class! Hope everyone had a great time during this term and wish the best for everyone in the future. -Blake
