| In this, the final part of your project, you will take all the information you researched, wrote about and thought about (in Parts One and Two of this document and Module 3 for this course) and create either a power point presentation or a prezi in which you create your civilization. Most importantly (and unlike the way I set up my power point as a guide), your presentation has to look like an ancient civilization from start to finish (in other words, no contemporary talk unless you double frame it the way I did). Your finished product should be able to be explored and information drawn by the people who view it (as archeologists) to give them an idea about your imaginary civilization and how it worked. Your project is NOT limited to what I have provided here. If you have other ideas in addition to what I’ve asked of you, DO IT…life is short and I like to see teachers play around with their own ideas. There is no right or wrong way to fashion this project (as long as you did it, it will work for me and the rest of your colleagues in class). Feel free to “steal” from other civilizations (I certainly did), and again, have a good time putting this project together. I will send you the rubric as an email attachment sometime next weekend (weekend of March 25-27) so look for that to come to you. I will also send you the final peer review handout (in which you will look at everyone’s presentation and draw some conclusions about the civilization) once all the projects are in to me and posted on Blackboard. |
