Design the experiment using all the essential components of the experiment

Design an experiment. This can be anything. Choose something you care about or something you wonder about — that can be carried out in

your home or without needing the consent of participants.

Design the experiment using all the essential components of the experiment. Be sure to write the design carefully prior to implementing

it.

Your write-up needs to include:

1. What question are you interested in answering? (5 pts)

2. What is your hypothesis? (5 points)

3. What is your treatment and what is your dependent variable? (5 pts)

4. What is the design of your experiment? What essential items did you consider in designing your experiment? What were some of the

limitations of the design that you knew even before you implemented it? (10 pts)
(Remember that you need to provide such explicit direction that the experiment could be replicated)

5. What are the steps involved with the implementation of your experiment? (35 pts)
(Remember that you need to provide such explicit direction that the experiment could be replicated)

Research Hypothesis
Provide a step by step description of how you implemented the experiment.
How did you collect your data? And, report the collection!!!

6. What are your findings from your experiment?

What did you observe? Did your findings support your hypothesis? Does your independent variable cause your dependent variable? Why or why

not?

7. What are the limitations of your experiment and findings? What are the strengths of your findings?
Pose your research question as a research hypothesis. Don’t forget to consider what is the cause and what is the effect.

For example:

How does education impact income?

BECOMES

Bivariate Correlation
H1: The higher the level of education, the higher the level of income.
Run a bivariate correlation for your two primary variables (independent and dependent).

1. What is the strength and direction of your correlation?

2. Does it reach a level of statistical significance?

Historical Transitioning and Growth of the U.S. Health Care System

As a health administrator, your hospital has tasked you with reporting the general nature of health care administration to visiting stakeholders / shareholders. These stakeholders / shareholders are investors, but are not too versed in the significance of the U.S. health care system and its present position in social, financial, technological, and medical pioneering advances.

Write a three (3) page paper in which you:

Summarize key milestones involved in the past and present shaping and transitional dynamics behind changes in the present health care industry.
Evaluate the importance of financing and technology in health care. Provide examples to support your response.
Analyze the primary complexities and integrated social dynamics associated with changing demographics and emergent diseases (e.g., the complexities seen in the growing Latin and Asian populations, etc.).
Examine the major fluctuating and daunting challenges in health care management that mortality trends and an aging Baby Boom generation predicate.
Use at least four (4) recent (i.e., five [5] years), quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

Write a critique of the proposal based on information gained from the ‘Critical reading, writing & thinking’ session in addition to your own academic reading

ASSIGNMENT TITLE: Critical & analytical evaluation report.

DETAILS OF THE ASSESSMENT
The aim of this assessment is to apply the knowledge gained during the module in a practical context. Your work should demonstrate a

critical application of the research skills and methods required in order to complete a research project. It should demonstrate how you

have applied the knowledge acquired in the Research Practice sessions and in your own academic reading to the skills and tools required

for a successful research project.
You will be provided with a project proposal in Week 1 of the Research Practice sessions (also uploaded to the module VLE) – the

assessment is based on this proposal in addition to your own academic reading. Support sessions with Q&A will be provided during the

Research Practice Module as indicated in the Module Timetable.
This work will be assessed by your RP tutor. See the grid below for the marking criteria.

Details of Report Elements:
The report should be structured using the following headings; sub-headings can be used at your own discretion:

Section A: Critical Thinking
Write a critique of the proposal based on information gained from the ‘Critical reading, writing & thinking’ session in addition to your own academic reading. You should aim to discuss the strengths and limitations of the proposal, suggesting how any limitations could be

improved. Look in detail at the proposed aims, objectives and methodology.
(This section should be approximately 400 words)

Section B: Ethical Considerations
Write a discussion on the ethical considerations of the proposal based on information from the ‘Research Ethics’ session in addition to

your own academic reading. You should aim to cover all of the ethical implications of the proposed project.
(This section should be approximately 200 words)

Section C: Interview Method
Write a list (maximum 10) of possible interview questions based on the project proposal provided. Include a discussion on the

justification for the questions asked, and considerations of how the data could be analysed.
(This section should be approximately 400 words)

Section D: Questionnaire Method
Use SurveyMonkey (www.surveymonkey.com) – sign up for the FREE account – to create a 10 item questionnaire based on the project proposal

provided. In the written report you should include justification for each item asked, and the way in which they have been structured (i.e.

why did you choose that particular item type). Include considerations of how the data could be analysed once collected.
(This section should be approximately 400 words)
Please ensure that you send the SurveyMonkey link to the Module Leader before the deadline date of submission, or include a web link in

the assessment report.

Section E: Document Review
You will be provided with a document which relates to the project proposal in the Research Practice session in Week 1 (also uploaded to

the module VLE). You must apply the knowledge received from the ‘Document Review’ session and your own academic reading to analyse the

document provided.
(This section should be approximately 300 words)

PLEASE COMPLETE EITHER THE EVALUATION SECTION OR THE DIARY SECTION; DO NOT DO BOTH! IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING DOING A PRODUCT BASED

DISSERTATION THEN YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO DO THE EVALUATION SECTION.

Section F: Evaluation
Using the project proposal you should propose a product that could be designed to meet the final objective of the project and detail how

and when you would evaluate the product. You should use knowledge gained from the ‘Artefact Production’ session and your own academic

reading to help you to write this element of the assessment.
(This section should be approximately 300 words)

Section F: Diary
Propose how a diary could be used to collect data for the project proposal. Include how it could link to the project, if it would replace

or add to the already proposed methods and include a discussion on the strengths and limitations of the method and how any limitations

could be reduced. You should use knowledge gained from the ‘Research Diaries’ session and your own academic reading to help you write this

element of the report.
(This section should be approximately 300 words)

Section G: References
You should ensure that each section demonstrates your academic reading by citing sources appropriately. You should include all references

cited in the report, in full, in Harvard style.

How did Latin American art become more “Latin American” in the late 1800s and early 1900s? Write a double-spaced paper of at least 250 words which explores this question. What has changed in the composition (the style, subject, colors, vantage point of the viewer, depth of the image, the “realism” of the image) from one painting to the other? Abaporu is in this module. The Discovery of Pulque is in Module 5, or you can find it at http://mexicanart.info/modern.htm or elsewhere on the internet.
