Francois Beaudoin was President of the BDC when he was investigated and charged with allegations of goods and services belonging the BDC

Francois Beaudoin was President of the BDC when he was investigated and charged with allegations of goods and services belonging the BDC which totalled $159,590. (33) In the end the investigation did not prove he was guilty and Mr. Beaudoin then sued the BDC and won as the investigation towards him was proven to be a great injustice set out to ruin him.
KPMG Expert Report
The quality and ethics of this report are flawed as KPMG did not provide evidence on most occasions to prove what they said Francois Beaudoin was taking advantage of. For example they use a witness to say he told him to fill up his personal vehicles with BDC credit cards but evidence stated “On the contrary, his clear and unavoidable instructions were always, at all times and all the time to reimburse the bank for any personal expense.” (193) This was common in this report and Justice Denis’s comments stated that the investigation was an injustice that was set out to ruin his reputation and here comments reflect how the KPMG report appeared to do this as they unethically did not provide evidence proving their claims and leaving evidence out that proved Mr. Beaudoin was not taking advantage of BDC services for his gain.
Richther Expert Report
This report was done much more ethically and the quality of it is much higher as it proved that KPMG did not work to the standards they should have. The Richther report and testimony provided evidence that discounted the reliability of the KPMG report and proved that Justice Denis’s comments were correct as the investigation was unfair due to the lack of evidence.

An outstanding performance with very strong evidence of: an insightful and comprehensive grasp of the subject matter;

Please note: An outstanding performance with very strong evidence of:
an insightful and comprehensive grasp of the subject matter;
a clear ability to make sound and original critical evaluation of the material;
outstanding capacity for original creative and/or logical thought;
an excellent ability to organize, to analyze, to synthesize, to integrate ideas, and to express thoughts in writing.

Below information’s are the few errors identified from the previous work.

1-The background section of the paper tends to wander from issue to issue and then back again.

2-The focus on the oil sands is puzzling as it doesn’t adequately connect to the rest of the paper. Further, the background section might have discussed briefly (perhaps in a table) the various Canadian commitments and/or promises to reduce CO2 (e.g. Kyoto commitment, the Liberal proposal for a carbon tax, the Harper government’s stance, etc.).

3-The discussion about the theory is interesting (and repetitive) but it is first year economics. Perhaps a table comparing the two alternatives (you didn’t really get into the regulatory approach).

4-What would be the effect on the Canadian economy, competitiveness among other countries, production, and employment

5-Incorporate the externality theory and other economic theories that explains the topic.

6-Strong arguments to back your points

Lomroso’s theory of the criminal man/ Hirshi’s social bond theory

About your Term Paper

For your Term Paper, you are to pick two specific theories and use these theories to explain a real-world criminal event or activity.

You are to find some criminal event from an online search and you must provide your professor with the website and specific address for the online article that discusses this event or activity. The website for your chosen event or activity must be submitted to the instructor by the beginning of week four so that it can be verified by the professor by the close of that week. This event can be discussed in any online news or academic source (for example, an online news story, discussion in an online professional journal, an academic journal that is online, and so forth).

Upon selecting your topic event or activity, you will then identify and select two theories (for example, Social Learning Theory by Ronald Akers) to explain 3 specific issues.

Explain the issues using each theory as follows:

1.Why the specific criminal event or activity that you chose occurred;
2.How each theory can be used to predict and prevent the likelihood of a similar crime occurring in the future, both nationally and globally; and
3.Suggestions that each theory would probably give on how to process this offender (or group of offenders) through the criminal justice system (i.e., death penalty, life sentence, community supervision, treatment orientation or punitive orientation, and so on).
Your Term Paper should have a Cover Page and an Abstract at the beginning, and a References Page at the end. You should have at least 20 references beyond the course text. The Cover Page, Abstract, and Reference Page should all be in APA format. Also, all internal citation of outside sources plus the listing of all references should also adhere to APA format. All text pages should be double-spaced and in 12 point font.

Further, your Term Paper should consist of an Introduction, a Main Body, and a Conclusion. The Introduction Section should be 3–5 pages. The Main Body should consist of three specific sections. The first section should be entitled “Etiology,” the second section should be entitled “Prediction and Prevention,” and the third section should be entitled “Recommended Criminal Justice Responses.” Each of these sections should be from 3–5 pages in length. This should then be followed by the Conclusion section of roughly 2–3 pages that clearly refines the connection between your chosen theories and your chosen criminal event or criminal activity.

Thus, your Term Paper should be anywhere from 14–23 pages in length (plus a Title Page, an Abstract Page, and a Reference Page). Page length is not the basis of a favorable grade, though if submissions are less than the minimum, the instructor may penalize you at his or her discretion

Globalization and financial liberalization

Financial Liberalization doesn’t enjoy the positive press of direct foreign investment. Nonetheless it has a long list of advocates, including Kose. And financial liberalization has come under a good bit of criticism, from Subramanian, and Gallagher. What are the appropriate polices for handling financial flows into the developing world is an equally controversial matter that has engendered sharp disagreements about just how much or how little regulation of those financial flows is necessary.
Just what are the fundamental disagreements about the effect of financial liberalization on the economics prospects of developing countries? (Be sure to give examples drawn from our different readings.) And what is the nature of the disagreement about the right policies toward financial liberalization for a developing country. (Again, be sure to give examples drawn from our different readings.)
Finally in your opinion what policies should a developing country use to handle financial flows and financial investments?
