The Role of Homework

• Attributes and Evaluation of Discussion Contributions.
• Professional Communications and Writing Guide.
Homework is considered by some as essential to the filial therapy treatment plan.
In your initial post, suggest two homework assignments for the first three weeks of treatment and share your directions to the caregiver, along with the rationale for using them.
Our goal in this discussion is to share assignments that we can all use in our filial therapy manuals. Please provide sufficient information so that we understand what the adult is to do and why the homework is being assigned.

Cause Effect Paper: The cause and effect of bullying schools and over social media

Your task is to write a 3 – 4 page paper in which you explore 2 -3 causes of some issue or problem. For example, one might explore why college tuition is rising so rapidly, why people in the United States are obese, why people smoke, why people overspend, why the United States has an inadequate health care system, why the United States has infrastructure problems, why the United States lacks high speech rail, etc. The paper needs to follow the 6th edition of APA and needs to include at least 4 sources that would be credible to an audience consisting of college professors and business executives. The paper will require careful causal reasoning. The paper is not presenting solutions to the problem, only causes.

Respond to my classmates: move beyond polite agreement

5.) The final step is to read two of your classmates’ posts (and their linked document or media form) and respond to their posts. In this response, you should move beyond polite agreement (e.g., “I thought what you wrote about liberty and Obama’s State of the Union address was great!”) and instead reflect on how you would respond to your classmates’ views or ask further questions that promote one’s thinking on this subject. It is also helpful if you draw connections to your initial post and your classmates’ work. Your response to two classmates can be approximately 100-150 words.

Managing The Professional Practice

Is it better to offer one professional service in terms of discipline or an interdisciplinary service? Discuss.

Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the two strategic options.

Assume you are assessing these options for a current SME professional practice that is operating in a single discipline of your choice. Present your analysis in the form of a Report to the founders and senior management team.

NB. Support your Report with references. Apply enterprise or business reasoning throughout. Use academic analytical justification where necessary from the literature. This should not be extensive but should be based on a thorough understanding of the theoretical and conceptual issues.
3000 words
Most of the references should come from recent journal articles please. The main book to be used is ‘Managing the Professional Practice in the built environment’ by Hedley Smyth and should be extensively used in the essay too. Other books and sites can also be minimally used, preferably about 3 or 4 books.

Case Brief Kentucky v. King, 563 U.S. ___ (2011)

Prepare a legal brief on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Kentucky v. King, 563 U.S. ___ (2011) which can be found at this link.

www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/09-1272.ZS.html

By briefing a case, you are reading the entire court opinion then summarizing it into your own words so that the important information from the brief is easier to understand and remember.
Legal case names should be done in standard “Blue Book” format. Example:
York v. Smith, 65 U.S. 294 (1995). For further information see http://www.law.cornell.edu/citation and look under the “How to Cite” section. In addition see the web resource section for this course and click on the folder marked “how to brief a case”.
