Topic Description: A number of 2nd and 3rd generation Muslim Immigrants in the UK support groups such as the radicalized Hizb-ut-Tahrir in Western Europe. Hizb-Ut-Tahrir has clearly stated its primary goal as the overthrow of secular governments and their replacement with an Islamic Caliphate. This group has found a willing assemblage of recruits and financial support among-st certain populations of 2nd and 3rd Generation Muslim immigrants within Western Europe. Evidence suggest that even after being exposed to, or born into these countries, this population of Muslims continues to join and support radical groups seeking to overthrow the host secular government. The purpose of this thesis is to gain clarity as to why groups of 2nd and 3rd Generation Muslim Immigrants are joining Hizb-Ut-Tahrir and to development countermeasures to counter that threat.

Chapter 2 – Literature Review
This chapter needs to be constructed thematically. The four primary themes are:
• Overarching history, ideology, organization
• The influence and exposure to individuals or groups who can articulate the ideology
• Personal identity
• Perceptions, Grievances and Criticism.
These topics need to be grouped in that order as it will follow systematically the construction of the thesis.
Chapter 3 – Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
Hizb-ut-Tahrir’s ideology, history, organization. A complete discussion of the political impact of Islam in the UK. Most specifically, Hizb-Ut-Tahrir. The influence of Wahabism and Salafi-Jihadism on political Islam, Hizb-Ut-Tahrir, and their targeted group.
Chapter 4 – Demographics and Messaging
These questions must be answered:
• What are Hizb-ut-Tahrir’s Demographics both as a Radical Group but as individuals as well?
• How are they articulating their messaging and why is it resonating within the above stated Muslim Populations?
• Who are their target audience but more specifically why?
Chapter 5 – Ahmed or Bobby. Which one are you?
These questions must be answered:
• What are the personal identities of the members of Hizb-Ut-Tahrir?
• What is driving them to join these groups?
• Who are they and why are they struggling to define an identity?
• What does Hizb-ut-Tahrir offer them (status, identity, political activism, social standing) in deference to the advantages in their adopted homeland?
Discuss how the ideology, identity and social dynamics within this specific immigrant population is providing such an abundant recruiting ground.
Chapter 6 – The most convincing lie is the one you tell yourself.
Perceptions, Grievances and Criticisms
These questions much be answered:
• What are the criticisms the Muslim population, within the U.K., deal with?
• Are these just perceived grievances? Do they represent just a small but prejudiced populations within the U.K. or are these grievances/biases institutionalized within the U.K.?
• Are these perceptions, grievances and criticisms towards this specific immigrant population warranted?
• How do native Britons perceive the Muslim communities in the U.K.?
• Are these perceptions, grievances and criticisms warranted or imagined?
Chapter 7 – Findings and Recommendations
These questions must be answered:
• What is the profile of a typical male and female Hizb-Ut-Tahrir member?
• What are their beliefs?
• What is their personal ideology?
• How would the development of Western backed Islamic schools help undermine more radical ideologies espoused by the Wahhabists clerics driving Hizb-ut-Tahrir’s ideology?
