Final Research Memo – Diamonds

Please write me a complete, readable research memo on this order. I expect a clear research question on the commodity of Diamonds, at least 1000 words responding directly to that question, and a complete bibliography. Everything should be fully referenced. The bibliography should be in full bibliographic format (The MLA format).

I will also attach a PDF document named ‘Draft Memo with instructor comments’ This document includes the comments which were given from my instructor, so that you know how you can fulfill the requirements and the things (e.g. the particular research question, the article findings, etc.) you need to change and improve from that Draft Memo to this Final Research Memo.

Also, please make sure that the references or resources you used are including at least 10-12 (out of 18) scholarly sources, such as academic press books, or academic journal articles).

Below are some more comments from my instructor which you may not able to see them from the PDF file (‘Draft Memo with instructor comments’) I sent you, and here they are:

– You don’t have a viable research question yet. You needed to take my comments on the Final Research Memo more seriously. I need to be clear that if you submitted this version for the final assignment, you would get at most a 2.0 out of 4.0, because you don’t yet have a reasonable research question for this assignment. And the result is a disorganized series of notes. You have a lot of work still to do.

IMPORTANT:

**Writer, please try to use your best effort to complete this Final Research Memo since it takes up a huge portion of my final grade of the entire class, thanks a lot!**

Asian-Western Relations: From the Silk Road to the 21st Century

As looked at the growing relationship between ‘the West’ (primarily Western Europe) and ‘Asia’ (primarily China). We have seen that this relationship began primarily

as a trading relationship, but that transculturation was occurring throughout this period, changing many of the civilizations of the Eurasian continent.

For this paper, we are going to move away from this history and look at a more recent event- the Rape of Nanking. This event, which occurred in the last months of

1937, has remained controversial since it first happened. China contends that the Rape of Nanking was indeed a war crime, and that Japan must apologize for it. The

Japanese government, on the other hand, has refused to apologize, insisting that the events of 1937 in Nanking were simply a part of war, and that while brutalities

occurred, this is normal in the course of war.

Structure

The essay should address the following questions:

1. According to most sources, what exactly was the ‘Rape of Nanking’, and what events immediately led up to it?

2. Why might it be difficult to write the history of this event with absolute precision? What kind of sources might historians use for this? Why might these sources be

problematic?

3. Why was little said about the Rape of Nanking, in both China, the United States, and Japan, for nearly 50 years?

4. Has China’s government, since the 1980s, exploited the memory of the event for political gain?

5. Why does Japan refuse to officially apologize for the event? Do current relations China and Japan have anything to do with this?

6. Has the United States exploited the memory of the Rape of Nanking for its own purposes as well?

1. For the corporation that has acquired another company, merged with another company, or been acquired by another company, evaluate the strategy that led to the

merger or acquisition to determine whether or not this merger or acquisition was a wise choice. Justify your opinion.
2. For the corporation that has not been involved in any mergers or acquisitions, identify one (1) company that would be a profitable candidate for the corporation to

acquire or merge with and explain why this company would be a profitable target.
3. For the corporation that operates internationally, briefly evaluate its international business-level strategy and international corporate-level strategy and make

recommendations for improvement.
4. For the corporation that does not operate internationally, propose one business-level strategy and one corporate-level strategy that you would suggest the
