Create a short information data sheet of conferences (at least 10) and journals (at least 10) for my research project titled Utilization of Clinical Risk Management Policies in U.S. Primary Care. Based on this topic and status as a student, find conferences (local, national) and journals for presenting and publishing your work later.

There is no specific format for this assignment (information data sheet), but provide basic information about conferences and journals such as when?, where?, APA style? students section? website, eligibility, participation fee, (student) award? Travel award? and so on.

Prepare in APA format

The research project abstract is:

The objective of this project is to perform a systematic review of the literature to assess the utilization of clinical risk management policies and subsequent practices in U.S. primary healthcare settings. The method used in this research is tertiary analysis of the existing literature regarding the paper’s objective. Initial findings indicate that while much has been accomplished in the application of clinical risk management policies and practices in tertiary and quaternary institutions in the U.S. and other developed nations (i.e., inpatient/hospitals), research of risk management policies and their subsequent practices specifically within U.S. primary care settings (i.e., outpatient) remains formative. Other major findings of the literature review, such as policies that support patients’ direct participation in risk management practices, has been shown to increase patient safety thereby serving as a measure of reducing clinical risks. Because of the broad complexities inherent to the clinical and administrative environments of U.S. healthcare organizations may have to foster certain risks to patient safety (and other clinical care outcomes), implementation of effective risk management policies and applicable programs is a fundamental imperative to improve the clinical delivery and administrative adjudication of safe, quality care provided to patients in U.S. primary care settings.

A critical analysis of the necessity to have to different types of audit-internal and external- and whether these could be merged into one?

(as usual!) it needs to be refined down into some specific research questions. What you do not want is a dissertation that just reviews/critiques some literature; that would be insufficient.
You should prepare a written proposal for the intended research for your dissertation. You should (1) review
existing literature, (2) develop your specific research questions out of the literature, and (3) identify approaches
to data collection and analysis. Your aim should be to explain that you have a viable topic for your dissertation,
that you know how you are going to go about undertaking the research for it, and that you have some familiarity
with previous research in this area.
The maximum length is 4000 words.
Assessment criteria for proposal:
Explanation of proposed research; clarity of the research questions
Feasibility of proposed research; viable methodology and data collection
Presentational quality

Fast Food Nation

1 – Preparation. Read the book “Fast Food Nation” and watch one or more of the following films
B: Food Inc [Food, Inc. QFO 494 (2008, 94 min)]

2 – The Paper. You will submit a 5-7 page paper (1.5 spaced, 11 point font, 1 inch margins) that addresses the economics of food & diet.

Answer this: Over the last several decades, fast food companies have aggressively targeted children in their marketing efforts. Should advertisers be permitted to target children who lack the sophistication to make informed decisions and are essentially being lured into eating high fat, high calorie food through toys and cute corporate mascots? Is it possible that fast food companies – like tobacco companies – are recruiting increasingly younger consumers in order to insure a steady customer base as their older constituents die from heart disease, diabetes, and other obesity-related disorders?

3 – The Grade. Your paper will be graded on your analysis. I want to see how you relate the ideas of this course to the specific topic you select. I expect to you cite the book, the film(s), and additional sources, but I mostly care about YOUR THOUGHTS.

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose displays the largest collection of ancient Egyptian Artifacts (over 3,000) west of the Mississippi River. This is a wonderful local resource that relates well to our class. Go to the museum and answer the following questions…

1. Find the mummy named Sherit. Describe her appearance and note her RC number. During which time period was she mummified? How old was she when she died? How do you think she died and what clues about her mummy may give this away? (Hint: Look at her X-rays, also in this Gallery) Why could Sherit be considered an unusual mummification?

2. Find the mummy previously named “Usermontu”. Describe his appearance and note his RC number. During which time period was he mummified? Why is this mummy different than all the others in the museum? What color hair does he have? What injuries does he have? (Hint: check out his X-Rays, also in the same gallery) Did they occur in life? What happened to his toes? How tall would you guess this mummy was in life? (you may want to lie down beside him to measure) What might the curvature of his upper back and neck tell about his social position in life?

3. Find the mummified baboon. Describe its appearance and note its RC number. What surprise does this “mummy” hold inside? To which god was this supposed to honor? Why did the ancient Egyptians believe this Primate to be unique from all other animals?

4. Find the mummy named Nesimin. Describe his appearance and note his RC number. During which time period was he mummified? How tall was this mummy? (you may want to lie down beside him to get an idea). Check out his X-Ray. Even though his eyes are no longer there, do you have any ideas on why his eye sockets so bright?

5. Find the mummy named Tahure. Describe her appearance and note her RC number. During which time period was she mummified? How old was she when she died? Look at her X-ray, do you notice anything odd about her pelvis?

I want a 3-4-page, double-spaced 1-pt. margin paper covering all 5 questions above. To answer your questions, look to the labels, gallery guides, audio descriptions and docents for guidance. To prove you’ve been to the museum, you either need documents (flyers/brochures) from the museum or a signature from one of the docents.

Notes: I took so long to send you these notes. I just wanted to say that I didn’t have that many notes since the others took mostly pictures. If you want to see those pictures you can ask me to send them to you.

Notes:
Sherit- RC: 22
– She’s small
– 4 1/2 years old
– Died from sudden illness
– Bones look unharmed
– Didn’t die from anything physical
– Unusual mummification: it’s a child, toes got bent backwards during mummification process
– Roman Period

Usermontu- RC: 1777
– Upper Class Egyptian Male
– Lived during Saite Period (664-525 BCE)
– Mummified from the New Kingdom (1549-1064)

Baboon- RC: 2213
– No bones, just a jar and a baboon head made out of wood
– Egyptian deity Djehuti, god of record-keeping, writing, and wisdom

crisis along the U.S./Mexico border The Devils Highway

This paper will ask you to consider the crisis along the U.S./Mexico border in light of the larger global political economy that drives migration. You must use The Devils Highway (and you should use all relevant course materials as well) to shape and support your argument.

Possible questions to consider include: what is occurring along the U.S./Mexico border? What kinds of risks do migrants take to arrive in the United States? Why do they take such risks? What circumstances encourage them to leave Mexico or Central America? What role has the U.S. played in shaping those circumstances? How is this similar to or different from earlier waves of immigration weve discussed? How is the U.S. policing or militarizing its border with Mexico? What are the benefits and dangers of such policing? How are U.S. civilians engaged in this process? What role do you think the U.S.s immigration system plays in the crisis on the border? What role do you think racism plays in shaping U.S. policy or practices along the border? What legal and ethical responsibilities does the U.S. have towards migrants and prospective migrants?
In a 1000-1300 word paper, make and support an argument about the U.S./Mexico border in light of the larger global political economy that drives migration. You can choose what argument youd like to make, but your argument must be informed by the course material and must reflect a deep understanding of the material from the book.

Email an extended outline to me by December 2nd (8 point penalty if outline not received by the due date). An extended outline means a complete introduction including your thesis statement, plus a topic sentence and illustrative quote for each body paragraph.
Paper Due to Blackboard December 5th (5 point per day late penalty)

Please do not use any other material to write this paper aside from The Devils Highway and the course material (readings, lectures, videos, and discussions) unless you clear your sources with me first. You should cite frequently! For readings, an author and page number in parentheses at the end of a sentence is adequate. This is an example (Urrea, 14). Cite whenever you take specific information from the book or course material, even if you do not quote directly. Please be sure to put that material from class lectures into your own words. A good rule of thumb for history papers is to aim for several citations in each paragraph, at least one of which should be a direct quote.

Please be specific, and assume your reader knows nothing about the topic!
Remember that (with few exceptions) academic papers are analytical not narrative. Your paper must make and support an argument, not just re-tell the history. If it is helpful, use this acronym to remember to be analytical, not narrative, and to A.S.E. a history paper:
Assert (an argument, thesis, or idea)
Support (your ideas with ample evidence)
Explain (cause and effect)
