Business Research Statistics

This is a Graduate MBA level assignment, I mistakenly put it as a undergraduate assignment. I must create a research project of no more than 350 words inferential statistics hypothesis test. It must include: The research question and Mock data for the Independent and dependent variable. I must conduct a hypothesis test with a 95% confidence level, using he statistical tool. We used Walmart but had to change the name to Kalmart for this assignment. The variable are: Is there a difference in productivity (DV) based on the number of hours worked (IV)? the variable are productivity and number of hours, which are numeric data. Ho: There is no difference in productivity based on number of hours worked. H1: There is a difference in productivity based on number of hours worked. Kal-mart store managers notice a trend that the full-time employees whor worked 40hours or more each week were less productive than the employees who worked part-time, less than 40 hours each week. Managers tracked the amount of sick days that each employee had to use each month. I am to find out if there is a decrease in productivity and cause of the drop in productivity amongst the full-time employees. This is a Statistics for Business and Economics MBA graduate level course.

he main intent of these questions is to ensure that you have a sound grasp of the fundamentals of the material presented in this unit

This assignment consists of two short essay questions. The main intent of these questions is to ensure that you have a sound grasp of the fundamentals of the material presented in this unit. To that end, there is a 3 to 4 page (1000 words) limit for this question. I’m not so concerned with whether you agree with a particular author or not. The quality of your answer is based on your exposition of the competing positions, your comparative analysis of those positions and, lastly, your argument in support of the position you defend.
As with all the assignments in this course, these questions are not designed to be a “research” questions. There is no requirement to get material from external sources such as websites like Wikipedia. In fact, doing so can count against you. The point of your essays is to formulate the course material and develop your critical response. You can do this by working with the course material and developing your own ideas about the issue. The essay is simply your opportunity to set that out in paper.
So, the material you need to successfully complete this assignment can be found in the online course materials available through the course website. There may also be some reading material that is part of the hard copy course readings package. You can find this information on the course materials section of the course website.
Questions: (The total possible mark for this assignment is 100 marks.)
1. Consider the three arguments in support of the existence of God: the Ontological argument, the Cosmological Argument, and the Teleological Argument. Explain these three competing arguments as they are provided by the authors included in our course readings. Which argument offers the most plausible justification for the existence of God? Explain why. (70 marks.)
2. Explain the logical problem of evil as provided by the authors included in our course readings. Provide what you consider to be the best response to the logical problem of evil. Explain why it is the best response.

Practicum reflection

Reflective writing is one way of citing evidence of practice and learning in practice. Reflective writing involves thinking about and reviewing events to try and make sense of them, using acquired nursing knowledge and understanding.

Reflective journaling also provides insight into context and emotions and addresses the matching of intellect, decision-making and problem solving appropriate for a complex and dynamic situation.

A key component of this assignment will be your reflection on specific incidents occurring during your practicum experience. The reflective journal is more than a description of what you have seen and the tasks you have performed. This journal is a chance for you to comment on your actions and experiences in your practicum placement and to explore your feelings about the same. Include how these could/should impact your personal and professional development.

As a novice nurse, you will be required to plan, implement and evaluate your own performance; the reflective journal gives you the scope to begin to develop these skills while completing your practicum.

The reflective journal is a learning tool that can be used to look at your experiences and help you to do the following:
a) Review and reflect upon your development, and how you have grown on both an individual and professional level
b) Organize your thoughts
c) Demonstrate practical application of the underpinnings of knowledge; link theory with clinical practice and vice versa
d) Demonstrate practical competence
e) Decide what new learning you need; provide evidence to show where, when and how practice outcomes/standards of proficiencies have been achieved

Suggestions for developing your reflective journal entry:

1. What might you write about?
You may choose to write about any aspect of your practice which:
➢ You feel your intervention made a difference in a client outcome
➢ You feel went unusually well
➢ You feel did not go as planned
➢ You think captures the essence of your nursing practice
➢ You feel was particularly demanding

2. What might you include in your writings?
The focus should be on your nursing practice
➢ What was going on (the context of the situation)?
o Shift, time of day, resources, clinical scenario
➢ What happened?
o Detailed description of situation/incident/experience
➢ Why this incident is important to you?
➢ What were your concerns at the time?
o What were you thinking and feeling during and after the experience?
o What influenced your decision making?
o What, if anything, was the most demanding aspect of this experience?
o What was unexpected?

3. Reflect upon what you learned from the experience.
You may choose to write about the following:
➢ A reflection or evaluation of the situation showing the competencies and expertise you used (skilled communication, teaching, leadership). Support these with current evidence-based practice literature.
➢ What actions did you take? Include not just what you did, but more importantly the rationale for your actions. Support these with current evidence-based practice literature
➢ What new knowledge or insights were gained? How would you make recommendations for change in practice?
➢ Provide references to show evidence based practice (see guidelines below)
➢ Did you learn anything? If so what?
➢ Have you considered another way to manage your nursing practice as it relates to this experience? Has your nursing practice changed in any way?

Guidelines
1. Journal entries should exceed no more than two (2) pages in length (not including reference page).
2. Journal entries should include a minimum of one (1) citation from a peer-reviewed, evidence based journal. The inclusion of evidence based practice is an integral part of learning, critical thinking and growth.
3. APA requirement: Reference page only
4. See attached rubric for grading.

Reflective Journal Rubric

Relevance – The learning experience being reflected upon is relevant and meaningful to student and course learning goals

Analysis- The reflection moves beyond simple description of the experience to an analysis of how the experience contributed to student understanding of self and others

Interconnections- The reflection demonstrates connections between the experience and material from other courses, past experience and/or personal goals

Self-reflection- The reflection demonstrates an excellent ability of the student to define new modes of thinking based on their practice and critique of current evidence based research

. What events, people and ideas caused the slow decline of the “papal monarchy”, as such?

Welcome to the Discussion Board for Chapter 16. As Watson notes, this period of history is almost unrecognizable from our own. At this time, so much of the knowledge from ancient Greece had been lost, and even the intellectuals of the day often seemed to be starting over, yet still hampered by religious dogma. In Chapter 16, then, we learn of the rise of the Catholics, as such. Namely, we learn of the Investiture Struggle, or the struggle wherein kings and popes battled over who had legitimate authority over people (e.g. their wealth, education, religious views, social practices and even their deepest inner thoughts), and the sources of that authority. When the papacy was winning this contest (e.g.from Gregory VII to Innocent III- the “papal monarchy,” as it is called), there was little learning, change, etc., but still, this contest incited various new monastic orders, calls to chastity, etc. Although today we would find such orders repressive in the extreme, they still were more individualistic than previous ones. In response, various popes invented ideas such as “papal infallibility,” and insisted upon their rights to make laws, depose governments, and impose punishments. Eventually, the papacy launched the crusades (which, of course, were largely a failure) as a move to unify disparate interests, thoughts, etc., and began various inquisitions (i.e. tortures, etc.) to root out heretics. Eventually, though, various kings of Europe won back a great deal of power, intellectually and politically. As Watson notes, when Boniface VIII was captured and forced into exile, this was a symptom that the papacy had finally declined in power. Indeed, the Investiture Struggle is an amazing story, with the consequence for us that we gained more freedom over our own beliefs, thoughts, etc.
\1. What events, people and ideas caused the slow decline of the “papal monarchy”, as such? Of course, you can mention many people and ideas here. By contrast, what inventions arose because of this decline or after it (i.e. logic, paper, etc.)?

Employment-At-Will Doctrine

Imagine you are a recently-hired Chief Operating Officer (COO) in a midsize company preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). You quickly discover multiple personnel problems that require your immediate attention.

John posted a rant on his Facebook page in which he criticized the company’s most important customer.
Ellen started a blog to protest the CEO’s bonus, noting that no one below director has gotten a raise in two (2) years and portraying her bosses as “know-nothings” and “out-of-touch”
Bill has been using his company-issued BlackBerry to run his own business on the side.
After being disciplined for criticizing a customer in an email (sent from his personal email account on a company computer), Joe threatens to sue the company for invasion of privacy.
One of the department supervisors requests your approval to fire his secretary for insubordination. Since the secretary has always received glowing reviews, you call her into your office and determine that she has refused to prepare false expense reports for her boss.
Anna’s boss refused to sign her leave request for jury duty and now wants to fire her for being absent without permission.
As an astute manager, you will need to analyze the employment-at-will doctrine and determine what, if any, exceptions and liabilities exist before taking any action. As you proceed with your investigation, you discover the company has no whistleblower policy.

In preparation for this assignment, use the Internet or Strayer Library to research your state’s employment-at-will policy.

Write a paper in which you:

Summarize the employment-at-will doctrine discussed in the text and then evaluate three (3) of the six (6) scenarios described by determining:
Whether you can legally fire the employee; include an assessment of any pertinent exceptions to the employment-at-will doctrine.
The primary action(s) that you should take to limit liability and impact on operations; specify the ethical theory that best supports your decision.
Examine your state’s policy on employment-at-will. Analyze at least one (1) real-world example of an employee or employer utilizing your state’s employment-at-will doctrine in the last five (5) years. Include a summary of the main issue and the outcome in the identified real-world example.
Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia is not an acceptable reference and proprietary Websites do not qualify as academic resources.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

Analyze and apply the concepts of freedom versus responsibility and ethical decision making.
Analyze and evaluate laws that protect against discrimination in the workplace.
Analyze and evaluate the employment-at-will doctrine and exceptions, as well as the protections afforded whistleblowers.
Explore the legal and ethical issues surrounding employee and consumer privacy.
Use technology and information resources to research issues in law, ethics, and corporate governance.
Write clearly and concisely about law, ethics, and corporate governance using proper writing mechanics.
