I need a statement of the plan of work, techniques to be used, summary of relevant previous work with a focus on the planned research including experimental protocol. Anthocyanins have been associated with health benefits via reduction of oxidative stress load. In this project it is suggested to measure mitochondrial DNA damage as a marker of oxidative damage in hydrogen peroxide stressed fibroblast cells after incubation with anthocyanin compounds. Results from the in vitro study can be compared to samples from a previously performed human study (in vivo samples available for analysis) with anthocyanin supplementation.
