Congress is considering implementing new legislation that will determine the extent of liability
that developers of software systems will be held accountable for. The actual laws have not yet
been decided upon, nor even proposed yet. The purpose of this hearing is to decide whether such
laws are even necessary, or if existing laws are sufficient to protect the public from faulty
software.

Pro: You are the attorneys representing various public interest groups, arguing that current laws
are insufficient, and new laws are necessary for the good of the public.

attractive and thought provoking essay

Please turn my Santa Clara admission essay into a creative, attractive and thought provoking essay. There should be no grammatical errors, and the flow of the essay should be very smooth. In the attachments is the essay to rewrite.

Below is the prompt for the essay:

Discuss those career objectives you expect to achieve five years from graduation and how an MBA/MS degree, particularly one from Santa Clara University, will help prepare you for those objectives.
How the school will help:
•    The MBA program has diverse background from people who just came out from college, to professional. With greater diversity, I will be able to learn many aspects not only from listening to lecture but also when discussions.
•    Not only focused on big corporations but also for small businesses. I wanted to start a small business myself, so the MBA program will fit my need.
•    The location is in the middle of Silicon Valley which is filled with many startup companies, and where there are many chances of great connections with outside of the campus.
•    I appreciate the openness towards startups in Silicon Valley when starting a piano school. In Japan, there are so many people who are talented though their skills are not accepted for they do not fit employment prerequisites. For example, it is unthinkable for me to start a piano school in Japan since I did not graduate from conservator. When I opened a piano school, I figured out the factor that students or their parents valued was the enjoyment in learning piano and quality of lesson rather than my background.
•    My future goal as a wine party host: A large majority of people ranging age 20-30 are not interested in drinking wine. One of the biggest reasons is not the taste itself but the image of wine; the wine often has image of upper class, need knowledge in order to appreciate the taste, and that it is for elder generations who like showing off their intelligence. Understanding more about the appellations of where it is made and brand characteristics will surly make wine more interesting; however, the wall to entering into the world of wine is very high. After volunteering in wine parties (which will be indicated in the second part of the essay), I figured out that once people enter “the world of wine,” they enjoy the wine, the sophisticated people who drink wine, and the elegant environment. I wish to create an environment where people who are not familiar with wine will feel welcomed. In addition to holding party, I would like to invite many musicians to play who already has enough skill to perform as a professional but is not well known for lack of chances. I understand musicians’ need of locations to perform because I gave up becoming a professional musician (too high much of a risk since only a small amount of professionals could live as music as their job).
•    Another reason of my interest in management and marketing was when I was studying about wine in college. While going into winemaking field, I was shocked to recognize that the price of wine is often not only determined by the wine quality but brand image (including wine label). For example, our class once had experience if we could rank the wine from high price to low price. What we figured out that majority of students guessed $30/bottle wine was much more expensive than $3,000/bottle wine. The wine that fails to satisfy customers’ expectation will have negative quality; however, I believe the image and environment where they drink the wine is what affects wine the most.

neoliberalism plays in international communications

Below, I have included 4 main questions that address what we have learned between weeks 5 and 10 of the semester. See the questions for more details.

You must pick 2 questions and answer them in coherent essays that present a thesis and use evidence from class discussions/examples, reading materials, films and class lectures.

Please see the rubric that accompanies these instructions.

Your essays in total should be no longer than six pages. So each essay may be about 3 pages in length (each question is a separate essay). Thus, make sure to be concise. You will get points taken off for turning in an exam with more than 6 pages.

Please put the essays (double-spaced and 12-point font) into one word document, but make sure to separate them into two different essays. Therefore, each essay should present its own thesis (introduction/conclusion) and evidence (body paragraphs).

Please make sure that your essays are not simply opinion-based. Support your claims with specific evidence. You should make direct references (cited correctly) to course material. You must include references from all course material: readings, online lessons video clips and case studies.

Do NOT do any outside research! The content in your essays should be based on our class.

Essay Questions:

1)    Explain the role that neoliberalism plays in international communications.

To do this, you’ll have to explain what it is
Pros and cons
Provide specific examples of neoliberal policies

2)    How would you define and explain globalization historically and within today’s political and economic structure?

To answer this, explain how globalization can be seen as a historical process. Pay attention to the reading and lessons that highlight how globalization has been talked about historically and how three stages have helped globalization processes continue to rapidly grow. Hint: Are today’s debates about globalization any different or are they similar to historical debates about globalization.
Assuming the Internet has played a major role in speeding up the processes of globalization, how has the Internet played a major role in today’s political and economic structure? How does the concept electronic colonization fit into this discussion? (Hint: see readings)
What may be the pros and cons of globalization processes? (e.g. global labor, etc.)

3)    Discuss how the weeks on U.S. foreign policy and media, and war and media are connected. What did these readings, films, lessons and video examples tell us about the relationship between journalist practices, news content, politics and international conflict.

To answer this question, address the following:

U.S. foreign policy and its relation to issues of terrorism and surveillance
What is the relationship between propaganda, journalism and public relations?

4)    Based on what you have learned in this course, how would you explain the problems that we face in the post-9/11 political environment?

To answer this question, address the following:

Discuss the media in the post-9/11 political environment and how the media have impacted the ways in which we think about the Middle East, Arabs, terrorism and 9/11. Make sure to highlight specific examples covered in the readings, lesson and film Why We Fight.
Consider the relationships between the U.S. matrix (see lesson), terrorism, immigration issues, and the connections between domestic and international politics (see lesson and embedded videos). What do these lessons/examples tell us about the post-9/11 era?

Remember, to balance your essays with examples from the readings, lessons and films/video clips!

Lots of examples and films/video clips to choose from! You can’t talk about everything, so make sure to pick a few examples that best illustrate your main point.

Therefore, you have to be very concise with these essays!

Do not regurgitate all of your notes.  Please see rubric
