Remember to support your arguments with visual analysis of art works and research from 4 scholarly sources.[What is a scholarly source? A scholar is an academic expert on a particular issue, someone who has studied and written about and knows the subject well, in our case the Art of Africa!]

Paper Requirements:

1. The paper has Six full pages of text that include:
-the Introduction, which presents your subject and a strong Thesis (=main idea/statement),
-the main Body of the Paper, consisting of all your paragraphs, which have now fully developed ideas and argumentation, they place your subject in its social and historical context, and they support and prove your Thesis, using comparisons, examples, references to other artifacts, or citations from your Sources
-the Conclusion,, which in short sums up your main idea and arguments.
2.- add the Bibliography page, (=a list of at least 4 scholarly sources: Books, or articles with title, author, year, publisher or web address of your Internet sources) on the 7th page
3. Add the photocopies or digital pictures of the discussed works of art on the 7-8th page.
4. Insert Footnotes, or In-Text Notes indicating the source of your citations (author and page #)
5. The paper has a Title – Page (cover page with your name and title of the paper)
6. The paper has Font #12 , Times New Roman and is double spaced

On many indicators of success, such as income and education, Asian Americans, while a distinct minority, surpass whites in America. Why is this?

Include the following:
Cultural value of Asians toward education
History of discrimination in the U.S.
Similarities and differences between Asian values and the dominant American values
Family
Extended family behaviors
Cultural values toward authority, both personal and institutional
Respect of adults

To demonstrate your ability to conduct research, exhibit your research skills and abilities in the form of a mini-research project. In other words create a mini research proposal to address a current issue or social problem in your field of study that may require additional research. Identify a problem or issue then write up a research problem statement to guide you on this research endeavor. With this research problem statement, you are to develop a mini-research project to demonstrate your ability to critically think through a problem situation in today’s workplace/marketplace. The format of the mini-research project proposal is as follows:

Title
Problem Statement
Theoretical framework
Research questions or propositions
Methodology and/or research design with limitations
Results and findings (what do you anticipate to discover)
Conclusions and recommendations (what assumptions are you making as you propose this study?)
How do you propose that this research contributes to new knowledge in your field?

Since this research project will not actually be conducted, you may approach this mini-research project from the perspective of a research study proposal. However, you should consider any possible or anticipated results and findings, as well as conclusions and recommendations. Finally, clearly state how you believe—based upon the literature—that the research would contribute to new knowledge in one’s field of study.

2. Have images (which are discussed in the paper), citations, and a bibliography. papers without those will get zero points.

3. Use Chicago manual of style for your citations and bibliographic form.

4. Not use either Wikipedia or Khan Academy as your source.

5. Use academic English.

6. Include no more than 10 % quoted materials. this should be 90% your own words.

7. Follow the accepted format, which is this order
text(without pictures), images (no more than two to a full page), and they should have captions underneath each picture, and a correctly formatted bibliography,

8. Have a page number in the upper right hand corner of each page but the first page.

Egyptian: Old kingdom, middle kingdom, new kingdom,Amarna Kingdom, Aegean art, or Ancient Greece (1000-30 BCE)
All the art works of the paper should be before common area. Not modern art.
sources for this paper should be academic books or academic articles.
