Upon their arrival in foreign land, it was usually her responsibility to help to organize local talents and lead the singing and worship portion of services before each of the sermons, presented by Sam. Depending on the nature of the engagement and culture, Sara also conducted workshops for women and other groups in local churches or communities. The two of them were always very passionate about spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. They both understood and supported each others role in ministry. Even though they had many private discussions about what they would do when the time came for them to have children, they were not fully prepared for the extent of changes that took place once Sara became pregnant. Due to some medical complications, she had to return home to the U.S. earlier than expected, leaving husband alone to continue the traveling ministry. In 3 months, Sara discovered she was carrying twins. She also developed pregnancy-related diabetes, placing her and the babies at medical high risk. She had to come back to U.S. to get cared for. They life changed drastically, the only communication she had with husband was by cellphone, or internet, but more often, he was out of reached, leaving her to make decisions on her own.
