Religion and Connections between Native Americans and Europeans

A research paper that analyzes primary documents concerning the relationships between Europeans and Native Americans. In the paper, students will describe how European and Native American groups influenced each other through religion. How did these responses allow for the cross-fertilization of cultures? Did groups on either side adopt traditions, rituals, religions, or concepts? How can we isolate the ways in which communities adopted the ideas of foreign cultures?

Congnitive Psychology-Essentialism and Racial Bias Jointly Contribute to the Categorization of Multiracial Individuals

paper should do three things: (1) motivate and explain the question and hypotheses being addressed in the article, incorporating relevant information that we have covered in the class (why is the question important, how does it fit with other information you’ve learned), (2) describe the research in the article you read(e.g., independent & dependent variables, results), and (3) summarize the implications of the work(e.g., what hypothesis does it support or rule out). The goal is to give you some exposure to actual research in cognitive psychology and to explore one topic from the course in more depth. You’re welcome to do additional research on your topic beyond the material covered in the course, but that isn’t required

Meno and Phaedo

Write an essay 2-5 pages typed, double-spaced, citing primary texts (Meno, Phaedo) and academic secondary sources e.g. (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy or any of the articles or books listed in the bibliography of the text pp. 155-56) on one of the following topics:
1) Discuss the role of wisdom in true virtue according to Meno and the Phaedo.
2) At the end of the Meno Socrates says that it will be a benefit to the Athenians if Meno can convince Anytus of the conclusions they’ve reached in the dialogue (cf. 100a-b); given your reading of the Apology and Anytus’s role there what lesson learned in the Meno could be of benefit to Anytus and Meletus?
3) Discuss Plato’s arguments for recollection in the Meno; what puzzle is recollection supposed to solve?
4) At Phaedo 86a-d Simmias puts forward the view that the soul is a sort of harmony. Socrates provides at least two arguments against this view of the soul in the text that follows. Describe his arguments and explain why you think they are convincing or not.
5) Explain Socrates’ arguments against Cebes’s objection that the soul is long-lasting but not immortal (Phaedo (95c ff); are they persuasive? why or why not?
6) Compare and contrast any two (or three) of the five dialogues we have studied one of the dialogues must be either the Meno or the Phaedo; make sure to refer to the text by title and line number and cite any secondary sources used.

They can also pay via the app using their credit card for the parking fee. The application will be launched by RTA in dubai and partnered with dubai police. Also talk about how information technology will be applied in this service? when someone reserves a parking, it sends a signal to the spot to turn the light from green to red.

Change Management Leadership

According to Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher who was born in 535 B.C., “Change is the only constant.”
John Kotter (1995) stated that there are eight steps to successfully leading change; they are
1. Create a sense of urgency
2. Create the guiding coalition
3. Develop a vision and strategy
4. Communicate the change vision
5. Empower employees for broad-based action
6. Create a series of short-term wins
7. Consolidate gains and produce more change
8. Anchor the changes in the corporate culture.
Your assignment (Mr. Phelps), should you choose to accept it, is to watch the following three YouTube videos:
YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ol9zYw4Chg&feature=related
YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ83MffY3lI&feature=related
YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuGjYfJ0HSY&feature=related
Then, discuss what you feel is the most effective way for a leader to implement organizational change. Go into detail in each of the phases of the change as to the appropriate leadership style to ensure success.
Compare it to a change effort that you have seen fail. What could the leader have done to ensure the change was successful?
This [course] will not self-destruct in 5 seconds, so you should remember the guidance from Module 1 with respect to depth and breadth of your responses, and relating them back to literature and research.
