Did the studio and filmmakers make a film that, in your opinion, successfully balanced the three necessities?
Did they make something that was a balance of Artistic Creation, Industry Product and Cultural Export?
If so, how do you feel they succeeded? If not, where did they fail, and why do you think they failed?
Please provide research from trade articles to back up your opinion, and include a bibliography.

Please pick a film that is one of the Top 25 grossing films on a global level as reported by the website Box Office Mojo:

This is an opinion paper. You get to decide what a proper balance of those three things is. But I will offer a few tips:

In terms of whether they made something with Artistic Creativity, well, all of these movies made money. So since all of these movies were hits, what kinds of audiences liked the movie and in your opinion, why?
In terms of the industry product, all of these movies are commercial hits, but to what degree? For example, if your movie is a franchise film, look at the box office, both domestic and international, of previous films in the franchise. If the domestic box office is less than the previous film, then the studio did not achieve all of their goals. Maybe the sequel was a better film, maybe it played well in foreign territories, but no one makes a sequel intending to make less money.
Look at the ratio of Domestic box office to international. A typical global release gets about 30-35% of its box office from the US, and 65-70% from international. If those numbers are different in either direction, there is a reason why. No one makes a film hoping that it doesn’t play well in the US and makes 80% of its gross internationally. On the other hand, if your chosen film is a comedy, then yes, they don’t expect to make 70% internationally.
In terms of the Cultural aspect, did the movie play well in different major markets? For example, if the film you choose did really well in China, Japan, South Korea and other Asian territories but not well in Mexico or any Spanish speaking territories, that’s probably not what the studio intended. No one makes a movie hoping that Latino audiences don’t like it.
