I want to show the benefits of implanting Lean manufacturing into a biotech environment. Many biotech companies, such as Baxalta and Amgen have implemented lean programs, and it has shown great results. I would like to show how those results against companies that haven’t implemented lean programs into their manufacturing practices. It is important to use all of the lean terminology, ie. Six Sigma, DMAIC, TQM, Just-in-time, etc. I would like to add data to this project, showing how the companies compare, and if possible, a survey of the companies that use lean, against companies that don’t.
