According to Putnam, why is the level of informal social capital a stronger protective factor than formal institutionalized social capital? Do you agree or disagree, and why? In Chapter 18, Putnam points out that a strong social network between parents can actually have a negative effect on the neighborhood youth. Explain how/why this happens.
