Essay #1 is to be an informative essay. Recall what we have discussed in class regarding informative essays. The essay is to be 2-3 pages in length (no less than 2 full pages–no more than 3 full pages). The essay must follow all guidelines provided on the writing rubric (click the “Writing Rubric” button, and print a copy for quick reference). Please, remember: MLA guidelines must be followed for the paper to pass. Choose a topic that interests you, but that you are not overly familiar with. You must use 2 or 3 reliable sources from which you gather information, and you must document those sources in-text and on the works-cited page. Remember to write using third-person language, and always be unbiased.
