Faith Integrated Project Topic: Insurance Companies – when they cancel Insured’s coverage after a catastrophe (ie Flood, Quake, and Hurricane) is it ethical? How is this a strategy of the company?
The purpose of the FIP is to help you develop a biblical perspective of strategic management topics, issues, and dilemmas. The intent is to encourage you to seek scriptural guidance in dealing with managerial situations, recognizing that the Holy Bible is a valuable resource and guide for managerial situations.
The FIP covers how faith, beliefs, and management responsibility should coalesce into a strategic management plan. In approaching this project, you should put yourself in the position of a management team confronting and making recommendations regarding an issue. Your paper should include scripture references relating to your solution.
Make sure to do the following in the paper and presentation:
• Identify the strategic management issue involved (e.g., developing mission/vision/values statements, considering new markets, introducing new products, outsourcing an internal function, offshoring, an ethical dilemma, compensation issues).
• Identify the management issues being covered.
• Identify alternative solutions to the problem—both “good” and “bad” alternatives.
• Identify the management issues to be considered for each alternative.
• Identify your recommended solution.
• Present a discussion of how your personal faith and values led to the solution chosen. The discussion should include scriptural and theological references pertinent to the topic.
• Include a reference page of sources used.
The paper is to be at least five pages
double-spaced,
12-point font maximum, and have one-inch margins maximum.
All references are to be fully annotated using APA style.
