, this essay had an interview component: i interviewed an RN and she shared with me the importance of trust and respect between the 2 levels of nursing. As an RN she needs to be able to trust what i communicate is honest and accurate. Also she expressed the importance of teambuilding: establishing a sense of being part of a team by starting each shift and colaboratively deciding who should work with which patients; then stating what areas each nurses might need help in so that a sense of team work is established from the get go. As an RN she stated that she valued Lpn’s as a vital part of the healthcare team- they are my eyes and ears and are often the nurse of choice to collaborate with.
