Start your paper with describing the topic from the article you have chosen. Do this in a single sentence. (It is not a summary of the article you read.) Next, describe the alleged media effect that the article that you chose refers to. You need to identify the media effect yourself, as the article implies a media effect but do not explicitly describe it: Exposure to what in the media might lead to which outcome? Then argue for why you believe that the media do or do not have an effect on the topic of your choice. Carefully outline your argument and use supporting examples. Supporting examples can be your own observations and/or anecdotal evidence. For this paper you do not need to use course readings (we haven’t discussed them yet!) or include other formal citations.
