Negotiation/Third-party Intervention

Consider a work or project environment that required the formality of negotiation or third-party intervention to reach an agreement. After describing the issues(s) and actors, identify the reasons why informal resolution between the parties was not or would not have been effective, which resolution system (process) was used, who selected the process, how the process was used, and indicate the ultimate result. Do not use an experience in which you were the problem-solver, mediator, etc. but one in which a neutral person was used to resolve the conflict in which you were a participant or an observer. Interview one of the parties to determine his/her satisfaction with the process and the result. Reference book by Roger Fisher and William Ury “Getting To Yes Without Giving In.”
