Analysis of Formative Figure Paper AND Presentation This paper is to explore the contribution(s) of an early nurse leader to professional nursing. The student will appreciate the accomplishments/actions of the individual and their impact on the evolution of nursing. Include discussion of the sustained impact of this person on the evolution of nursing. Outcomes The student will: 1. Discuss the contributions of a nurse leader. 2. Analyze the impact of the leader’s contribution(s) in the evolution of nursing. Guidelines • Select an early nurse leader (see examples below). The leader must be a historical figure in nursing. The name of the leader needs to be given to the instructor before the second class to prevent duplication. • Research the leader’s contribution to the evolution of nursing. • Analyze the impact of this contribution to the profession of nursing. • The presentation should be 5-10 minutes. Share with the class the contribution the leader had to the evolution of nursing. • Due to the nature of the content of this research, sources may be older than 5 years. • The paper should be approximately 7 to 9 pages of text.
