Understanding the definition of plagiarism, knowing the rules of acknowledging, paraphrasing and quoting sources, and practicing effective paraphrasing will help you source materials effectively and responsibly. To prepare for this discussion, review the Purdue OWL materials on Avoiding Plagiarism, and the University of Wisconsin Writing Center Acknowledging, Paraphrasing and Quoting Sources document located in this module (just below this assignment).
