Begin thinking about a particular topic in interpersonal communication that is interesting to you.
Locate one research article on that particular topic. Articles may be found for each chapter at www.sagepub.com/gambleic. Articles are separated by Chapter. You will go to the website and then click on the link for student resources. On the side there will be another link for journal articles. Click on that link. You will choose one chapter that you are interested in. Click on that chapter and you will see a few articles to choose from. You will choose one article to analyze. Summarize by giving a recap of any important information in the article. Analyze and evaluate the information given. The purpose is for you to show you understand the article. Discuss any questions that may be of interest to you but are not covered in the literature. Discuss what the method was and possible ways the study could have been done differently? Explain any bias that may be present. Think about how we could use this information to further research on this particular topic?
OUTCOME:
The final outcome of this assignment is a 2-3 page research analysis of one academic article. The paper must be typed and double spaced in Times New Roman 12 font. The paper should not only be a summary of the article. Focus on analyzing and evaluating the research. All sources must be cited and a bibliography must be turned in with the final paper.
