As you review and respond to various aspects of the case study, your analysis and evaluation of the family system will help you determine how to deliver comprehensive treatment, therapy, and care to family members.
Your Final Project must be presented as a 12- to 15-page (not including references, title page, or abstract), double-spaced, APA-formatted paper.
For the Final Project:
Use a minimum of 10 scholarly references (in addition to any course readings that you may wish to reference).
Note: Wikipedia is not an acceptable scholarly reference. Please consult the Walden University Library’s instructions for evaluating research resources, which includes a link to criteria for evaluating resources.
Describe any ethical issues and violations in the case study, and explain how you would address them. Be sure to include ethical standards you would use when analyzing the ethical issues and violations.
Describe multicultural considerations you would need to consider while working with the family in the case study. Explain how you would demonstrate cultural competence while working with the family.
Explain which social work theory(ies) you would use with the family in the case study, and why.
Explain which social work theory(ies) you would not use with the family in the case study, and why.
Explain how you might use circular questioning with the family in the case study.
Describe the transtheoretical stage of change of the family at the beginning of the case study. Over the course of the case, explain any interactions that might have affected the client’s movement between the stages of change.
Develop an evaluation plan for the family in the case study that includes the following:
Describe the type of data you would collect to measure the family’s baseline in the beginning of treatment and the family’s progress throughout treatment.
Explain how the data you collect might impact or inform your evaluation of the intervention.
Your Final Project will be graded on a 20-point scale and is worth 30% of your final grade. Although the Final Project is not to be submitted until Day 7 of Week 11, you should become familiar with the project requirements and have them in mind as you proceed through the course.
The Final Project will be evaluated according to all four indicators in the Application Assignment and Final Paper Writing Rubric, which is located in the Course Info area. Be sure that the Final Project is written using APA format.
Information on scholarly writing may be found in the Essential Guide to APA Style for Walden Students and at the Walden Writing Center website. Also, see “Policies on Academic Honesty,” in Walden University Policies and Information, in the Guidelines and Policies area.
