Social issues in education Custom Essay

Essentially, I would like you to use your life experiences to better understand the ideas/arguments in one of the primary sources (see the list below). In other words, pick one of the three conversations that we have been discussing this semester, and enter it. However, your job is to do more than just repeat back the main ideas/arguments in the primary source. Remember that this is not a book report. You must find a way to relate to the ideas/arguments in this conversation to relevant examples in your own life. Aside from your own life, though, you can also relate these ideas (if they apply) to friends and family, or even famous people in society. The ideas in these conversations, in many ways, are a part of larger social issues. For example, think about how the Graff essay allows us to explore potential problems facing the education system in this country, or how we can challenge social norms regarding occupation/intelligence in the Rose essay. These essays are part of much larger conversations that you need to join. Therefore, this essay is also an opportunity for you to explore these larger social issues in a way that pertains not only to your life, but also, to how you understand the world. I expect that you will attempt to talk about these larger social issues in your essay. Also, it is possible that these larger social issues will help you in choosing the appropriate secondary sources that I am asking for. Notes: You must choose from one of the three following texts as your primary source for this essay: “Hidden Intellectualism” by Gerald Graff “Blue Collar Brilliance” by Mike Rose “The American Dream; Dead, Alive, or on Hold?” by Brandon King You must also find two additional texts that will serve as secondary sources. These secondary sources should be credible and relevant to the main ideas in the primary source. In other words, you will want to pick secondary sources that somehow relate to the main ideas in the primary source. This essay will follow MLA format guidelines. It should be a minimum of 5 pages in length. Please be sure to include a works cited page (does not count towards the page length requirements). Also, the essay should be 5 paragraph : introduction, 3 body paragraph, and conclusion. I wish the thesis statement to be clear and have 3 reasons which should talked about in the body paragraphs. In addition English is not my first language, so please include some gramer mistake or any other mistakes, and also I’m from Kuwait you can include any education problem in Kuwait.
