?Stock Portfolio? Project Instructions
For this project, you will explore a personal stock portfolio. The purpose of this project is to allow you to gain experience with different stock investment strategies. Investigate different stocks taking into consideration past performance, historical trends, level of risk, cyclical trends, market price, dividends, PE ratio, growth potential and percent yield.
At performing thorough research, you will address the following FIVE questions in a written project consisting of at least 750 words.
1. Which stocks would you choose AND why? Pick three specific stocks and follow the weekly opening values for 6 weeks.
In your response, be sure to include the names of specific companies & explain why you chose them! Show the opening values in a table!
2. Would you be an active trader or conservative trader AND why.
In your response, be sure to include a list of specific advantages of being the type of trader that you selected & why you decided to be that type of trader.
3. Would you invest in upcoming companies or well-established companies?
In your response, be sure to answer the question & discuss specific advantages of investing in the type of companies you selected.
4. How much money would you be willing to invest in the stock market?
In your response, be sure to include a specific monetary value! If you had invested this in your three stocks. What would be your gain or loss over the 6 weeks?
5. What are some advantages and disadvantages of investing in the stock market?
In your response, be sure to include specific advantages AND specific disadvantages of investing in the stock market.
Please feel free to add more information as you see fit. However, at a minimum, make sure you address the aforementioned 5 questions to earn points. Grades will be given according to the rubric and part of your grade will be based on your response to the 5 questions listed. Please view the rubric to learn how points will be given and/or deducted.
When submitting your project, PLEASE number each response 1 through 5!! Do not write a paragraph summary merging together the answers to the questions. Again, please number each response.
Recall, this project has a 750 minimum word requirement. Ensure that you meet the minimum word requirement.
As a reminder, make sure you cite your sources. Since more than likely research will be used, you will be required to use APA or MLA format to cite your sources. At least one sources is required, ensure the sources are properly cited using APA or MLA format?DO NOT SIMPLY ATTACH WEB LINKS. MLA OR APA FORMAT MUST BE USED. If no sources are used or cited, you will receive a 0 for the entire project! Therefore, make sure you cite your sources. It?s just that simple. There is information regarding citation information and the plagiarism policy located in a folder under the Content tab. Please read the information and be sure to cite your sources. This will ensure that you do not receive an F for the project.
After typing your paper, return to the project folder and submit your project to the designated area.

1. Ensure that you check for spelling and grammatical errors before submitting the exam.
2. It’s best to copy and paste your response into the text box of the designated area. You can submit an attachment. However, ensure you submit the document as a .doc, .docx, or .rtf file. (PLEASE NOTE: All other files CANNOT be opened!!!) If you submit another file format that I cannot open, you will receive a 0!!!
3. DO NOT FORGET TO TYPE THE TITLE TO THE PROJECT WHEN SUBMITTING THE PROJECT TO THE DESIGNATED AREA. This should begin with your LAST name.
4. To receive maximum points, make certain that you answer the questions correctly and thoroughly, meet the word requirement, and if you used sources, cite them using APA or MLA format.
5. Points will be based off the grading rubric. Please review the grading rubric to learn how points will be distributed.
