Students will complete a research proposal, consisting of a literature review, data plan, and appropriate methodologies. While I do not expect students to carry out independent data analysis for this course, the paper assignment should be thought of as everything but the data analysis. Students will select a political science topic of their choosing, after consultation with the professor. The first part of this assignment is a literature review draft, due on February 25th in class. Although there is no limit on the number of citations, each literature review must include no fewer than ten scholarly works.
