Supporting Social-Emotional Well-being in Children Classroom Project

Criteria & Marking:
This assessment item requires the students to demonstrate that they can:
 understand how to support children’s social and emotional well-being, identify and create a child study which profiles the child’s current state of social and

emotional wellbeing;
 demonstrate an understanding of the role the educator has played to date in supporting the child’s current social and emotional competence;
 understanding theory and practice of supporting a child’s social and emotional well-being, apply this knowledge to create an education plan to to assist the focused

child to reach new levels of social and emotional competence;
 implement the plan including the development of two relevant (non commercial) resources which should also foster home and school partnerships;
 critically evaluate and reflect on the implementation of the plan, referring to course material and making recommendations for any further refinement/improvement to

support the child;
 use appropriate writing structure, grammar, spelling and punctuation to enhance communication and accurate APA Style 6 referencing
