Choose a work of visual art or pop culture to analyze. You may find a work in an art museum or gallery or on the ARTstor digital library available on the USU Library database (Links to an external site.). Consider the image of farms and farming in the work. In an essay, describe the work of art that you have chosen. Begin by including title, artist, date, artist’s country, size and material used. This link should help with citation https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/14/. Insert a picture of the work of art at the top. Include important contextual information. Then using farming as a lens to look at the work, analyze why this work is important to the theme of this course.
A couple of examples of pop culture that may trigger some ideas are the Peterson Brother’s YouTube videos and the Dodge Ram commercial using “God Made a Farmer” by Paul Harvey.
