A student is using “Women in Islam and Women in the West: Convergences and Crossroads” in her essay. It is a wonderful read that synthesizes many of the ideas discussed this semester. While the essay focuses on “Women in Islam and Women in the West,” it does a nice job of arguing what Western societies, in general, could learn from an Islamic perspective. Read the eight pages of this essay and write a minimum of a 150-word response expressing your opinions and thoughts on the ideas you encounter.
